10:15 -12:30 ROUNDTABLE No.1
One agent/editor or publisher will lead a table of at these sessions. Each writer presents 500 words and receives critiques from the leaders and their peers. (timer and staff at each table. Presenters must provide copies of their work for every person at the table.) Approximate time per person will be approximately 10-15 minutes per person. Last fifteen minutes will either be a wrap-up by the leaders or they answer questions.

Deborah Dundas is an editor at the Toronto Star and has been contributing reviews to publications for more than 18 years.

SPEAKERS: Daniel Pyper and Nick Cutter
Andrew Pyper is the author of eight novels, including the forthcoming THE ONLY CHILD (to be published June, 2017 by S&S in the US and Canada, and by Orion in the UK). Among his previous books, THE DEMONOLOGIST won the International Thriller Writers award for Best Hardcover Novel and was selected for the Globe and Mail’s Best 100 Books of 2013 and Amazon’s 20 Best Books of 2013. LOST GIRLS won the Arthur Ellis Award and was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, and is being developed for television by Lin Pictures and Warner Bros TV with Pyper acting as Creator and Executive Producer. Craig Davidson is a Canadian author of short stories and novels, who has published work under both his own name and the pen names Patrick Lestewka and Nick Cutter. His style has been compared to that of Chuck Palahniuk. He is also Nick Cutter! Stephen King said of Nick: This guy scared the shit out of me!

Michele “Wojo” Wojciechowski
Michele “Wojo” Wojciechowski is the author of the national award-winning humor book “Next Time I Move, They’ll Carry Me Out in a Box.” She created and writes the award-winning humor column, “Wojo’s World,” and has written and performed stand-up comedy since she was 18—so the past five years. (Hey, stop laughing!) She also loves saying “award-winning.” In addition, Wojo has served on the faculty of the Erma Bombeck Writers Workshop, moderated and spoken on panels about humor at the American Society of Journalists and Authors annual conference, and has given countless talks about adding humor to your life to business associations, fraternal organizations, and networking groups. Wojo’s writing has appeared in Discover, Reader’s Digest, Family Circle, Country Woman, Boys’ Life, the LA Times Magazine, Discover Life, Energy Times, Parade, Vanity Fair online, the PBS website Next Avenue, Forbes.com, BaltimoreSun.com, as well as in many other publications and websites. Part three: Distribution, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship….this is how to deal with places like Amazon.com, Chapters, small book stores etc….looking at Artisan publicity.
